For Those Who Need Filling or Lifting in the Face
Inspiring Medical Aesthetics offers dermal fillers, PDO thread lifts, and Sculptra as part of our aesthetic services.
Over time the bones of the face can shrink, the natural pads of fat can sink, and wrinkles can appear without the face moving. The result is sagging cheeks, jowls, and chin.
To achieve extraordinary results, we carefully evaluate each client's appearance. We then customize treatments based on the client's specific interests and needs. We develop immediate and long term plans tailored to the individual.
Why Get Dermal Fillers or PDO Threads
These procedures can:
Here Is An Example of Dermal Filler Under The Eyes, Called the Tear Troughs
This client felt her eyes looked tired. The photo on the left shows her "tear troughs" before treatment. People call them bags under the eyes.
We used Juvederm Volbella with Lidocaine to fill the space on the lower part of her eye socket. Having anesthetic in the filler makes the injection essentially painless. On the right is the result. Notice the smooth full appearance achieved.
What Are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are gel substances that are injected to fill tissue.
- When injected into a wrinkle, they fill the wrinkle.
- When injected into a lip, they plump the lip.
- When injected along a bone, they fill space, which makes the bone appear full. It then lifts the face below that bone.
What Are PDO Threads?
PDO threads are absorbable sutures. They are inserted into the skin. Some give lift to the face. All of them stimulate the skin to make collagen, creating healthier skin. Who does not want healthy skin?
Have You Heard About Sculptra?
Sculptra is basically the same material as PDO threads, but in a powder. By adding water to it, Sculptra becomes a gel. It is then injected into the skin. Immediately people see beautiful fullness in the skin. Over a few days the water is absorbed, so the skin loses the initial improvement in appearance. Like PDO threads Sculptra stimulates the skin to make collagen, creating healthier skin over several months.
Many clients choose several Sculptra treatment 3-8 weeks apart. Each treatment complements the previous treatment. When you achieve your goal, we let you enjoy it as long as it lasts, which can be up to two years!
How Do These Procedures Feel?
Dermal filler injections can be painful because they stretch the skin. Usually we use a local anesthetic to prevent pain from them.
PDO thread insertion feels like pressure along the skin. For bigger threads we use a local anesthetic injection where the thread will enter the skin. Smaller threads feel like a brief sting, like Botox feels.
Sculptra typically does not hurt at all. Dermal filler, PDO threads, and Sculptra treatments can cause bruising and soreness for a few days, occasionally one week.
How Long Do They Last?
Dermal fillers usually last 9-12 months. Some last 18 months.
PDO threads absorb in 4 months. But remember, they stimulate collagen formation. The appearance of the face from this new collagen lasts up to 2 years!
Likewise Sculptra's effect lasts up to two years. The more treatment sessions, the longer the benefit lasts.
Is It One Or The Other?
Botox, dermal fillers, and PDO threads can be combined to create the result we desire. The ways they work and the results they achieve complement each other. Your physician will discuss all options with you. We want to make certain you understand all options, recommendations, and expectations before you are treated.
